A miracle happened last weekend: I had access to a vehicle (yippee!)!
I immediately shared the news with two other colleagues who also don’t own a car. Five minutes later, weekend plans were made: we were going to hike the Grey Mountain Summit Trail.
You’ve already heard of Grey Mountain if you read this blog. This mountain is right next to my house in Whitehorse and I’ve already explored some of its trails. However, it’s a 20-minute drive to the trailhead atop the mountain, so this weekend was chance to check it out.
The views didn’t disappoint, as you can tell. Aren’t we lucky in Whitehorse! It was a great afternoon hike all in all. We had lots of fun, and so did Lexie, the gorgeous black lab you can see in the pictures below. I was petsitting that weekend (hence why I was able to drive us up to the mountain!) and I thought the dog might enjoy hitting the trails with three enthusiastic girls (and she did!).
The pictures are a little grey-ish… which is unfortunate because it is usually sunny in Whitehorse. Oh well!
We had so much fun that day that the three of us have planned another adventure for Easter. but this time, we’re getting out of town and heading to Haines Junction and Kluane National Park.
